Route recce for DofE groups. Aim was to assess area for ease of navigation, find any prominent obstacles and check ground truth matches the map. I found the last section of getting back to the start point difficult as the paths on the map were not visible on the ground.
Also checked out a potential car park as a checkpoint location for ease of access and road safety.
Part of the path onto the hills was difficult to read and I was mistaken by entering into Eastnor Park when I shouldn't of - this is potentially a very easy area to lose groups in. this was very useful information which will allow futures routes to be planned accordingly.
