Description

Teaching Day:
2 mock clients, 1 client was looking to re build her confidence after a scare climbing a few weeks before, and 1 client had never trad climbed before.
i structured the day very differently and made it clear that what i could teach emily would differ completely to gemma due to their different experiences and what they wanted out of the day.
started the day in parrelels, multi pitch climbing talking about gear and belays for emily and just getting gemma to understand how to remove gear, rack on harness and flake ropes.
we then climbed in parralels, getting emily to then build her own belay when she got up to me, this gave gemma the opportunity to practise her belaying.
the end of the day i pre placed gear and had a static line rigged to jug a rope next to emily.

Area : Highland Outcrops: Strathnairn and Strathspey

These crags are described in the chapters of the SMC Highland Outcrops South guidebook entitled 'Strathspey' and 'South of Inverness', with the exception of Creag Dubh (which is in the West and Central Highlands region in DLOG).
