This was a challenging day out in the mountains of Snowdon, covering over 24 km with nearly 2000 meters of ascent. The weather was clear and sunny, making for excellent visibility but also very hot conditions, which made it difficult to stay hydrated. I still haven't fully recovered from my ankle/leg injury, and unfortunately, the discomfort forced me to cut the day short. Despite this, I managed to cover a significant amount of ground and made the prudent decision to avoid getting stuck in the more remote Carneddau range. This day emphasized the importance of listening to my body and adapting plans accordingly.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
