Description

The second day picked up from Dunmail Raise, continuing through Steel Fell and onto some of the highest peaks in the Lake District, including Scafell Pike and Great Gable. The weather remained challenging with continued heavy rain and poor visibility, making navigation and footing difficult. Despite these tough conditions, we successfully completed the route, summiting a series of demanding peaks and navigating the rugged terrain with careful attention to safety and route finding. I stopped at Honister while Scott continued on over the last 3 summits and back to Keswick.

Area : Central Fells

The Vale of Keswick, provides separation from the Northern Fells whilst to the west runs the long valley of Borrowdale. The parallel eastern boundary is created by Thirlmere and the St Johns in the Vale. Grasmere to Windermere forms the remainder of the eastern boundary. In the west, Stake Pass descends into Great Langdale.
