Description

Day 1 of a four day learn to lead with Charlotte and Harriet. Too wet to climb so we looked at setting up belays on the trees at the bottom of the crag, simulated leads on the banks. Abseil retreat and gear placements.
It was very wet and miserable.

Area : Peak District Grit: Lawrencefield, Millstone, Mother Cap, Yarncliffe and nearby quarries and crags

Mostly the quarried grit crags south-east of Hathersage, including Lawrencefield, Millstone, Mother Cap, Tegness and Yarncliffe, but also the natural grit crags of Over Owler Tor and Secret Garden.
