With Ian and Sam (FRCC younger members meet, also loosely supporting a less experienced group of 6 younger members). From the ski centre car park, up to Fiacaill a Coire Sneachda, along the ridge as one big party, supporting with ropework etc. Then up onto the plateau, across to point 1141, up to Cairngorm summit to see what all the skiers were up to. Then descent through the ski centre and back to the car. Views as far as the Ben.
Area :
The Cairngorms
The Cairngorms are ‘a little piece of the arctic in Scotland’ according to the SMC Munros Guide and the area contains many of the tallest peaks in the East Highlands. Ben Macdui (1309m), Cairn Gorm (1244m) and Braeriach (1296) are probably three of the better known and the whole area is full of steep corries and high plateaux. Access to the mountains is typically from Aviemore or Braemar.
