A 17km hike up Roy's Peak from 330m to 1560m. Spectacular views over Lake Wanaka and of far off mountains from the summit. The walk was steep and the challenge was dealing with the constant incline and uniform tracks to the summit. The weather was clear and sunny but not too warm and not a challenge.
