Description

With M & Sarah to the 3 east Fisherfield Munros. Began from the Loch a'Bhroan parking, 3hrs to camp near the head of Loch an Nid, nice spot. Windy & wet night, i didn't want to leave the tents unnattended in that wind. So we struck camp & left gear under a discrete boulder. Up between slabs into stony Coire nan Clach to the bealach & right to Sgurr Ban. Then back & steeply up Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair & its bouldery crest. Lunch on the traverse path below the corner peak & then Beinn Tarsuinn, the last Munro of my 4th lap.
Back to the bealach & interesting route finding round Coire Mhic Fhearchair to Bealach na Croise to our gear cache after 7.5hr. Back to car in another 3 hr. A great day of 11hr.

Area : Loch Maree to Loch Broom and The Fannaichs

This area contains four main sub-regions: An Teallach, The Fannaichs, Kinlochewe & Letterewe. The highest Munro is Sgurr Mor, part of The Fannaichs range, at a height of 1110m. The impressive Slioch (981m), although not the tallest, is described by the SMC Munros Guide as being ‘one of the great sights of the Northern Highlands’ and well worth a visit. This area sits to the north of the A832 and is almost completely devoid of human habitation.
