Last trekking day of our 12 & a bus to catch at 15.55 at Mont Dauphin. More or less a contour round to Col Garnier (2279m) then down the GR541 over open slopes to forest. Steeply & endlessly down through this to the hamlet of Gros. Then an unexpected tricky bit around an eroded gully, some (but not all) of which had a cable to La Font d'Eygliers where we had lunch by the very welcome font. Then to Eygliers & Eygliers Gare to celebrate the end of our trip with a rather pesky cornetto! Bus to Gap, train to Grenoble & next day a 16hr train journey back to Glasgow.
