On this date I assisted at a climbing taster session under the supervision of Matt Favelle (CWA qualified). The 5 hour open day was split into 10 30min session. Each 30mins nine climbers would arrive, other than one 30min session that was our designated lunch break. There we`re three of us instructing so each took three climbers each. The group rotated between climbing and belaying. One individual climbed, the other two belayed whilst I tailed the rope.
Each individual climbed twice, and during the session I instructed a total of 27 people. (Roughly 81 people attended the session in total.) Around 54 routes we`re completed by the 27 climbers I worked with.
None of the group had any real experience of climbing, bar one child who worked with a different instructor.
Matt and the other staff we`re very complimentary and I was told the level I had been working at had been great. I was also told I engaged really well with the kids.

2. Kit Up
3. Plan of session
4. Climb and Group Belay rotation
5. Dekit
