12 days ski mountaineering variable conditions throughout Grades fluctuated through trip
Day 1 - QANARTEQ ISLAND 65deg 51.008 N, 036 deg 40.954W
Dog sled and ski infil to base camp and established
Day 2 - QANARTEQ ISLAND 65deg 51.008 N, 036 deg 40.954W
Ski up to saddle at back of camp and onto ring contour and then back into camp. Established good base camp prior to bad weather
Day 3 - 65deg 51.008 N, 036 deg 40.954W
Fixed in tents 2 mtr snow and 60knot winds for 36 hrs, 3 tents ripped and 1 with broken pole

Morning spent digging out base camp and finding equipment, then ascended approx 500mtrs onto local peak and ski`ed fresh soft wind slab back to camp

Ski tour and skills in bad weather (wind and close too white out conditions from time to time). Crevasse rescue (pull out) skiing with a rope both in ascent and descent. 4 polar bears sighted in KULUSUK and saw northern lights

Ski`ed back over camp col to peak then down onto high point 65 deg 52.997 N, 036 deg 38.068 W before descending all the way back onto the pack ice. Conditions dry cold and sunny, 3km across pack ice in 30 mins

Over camp col and second saddle into separate valley then up onto the glacier and far peak. Weather closed in and called turn around, long day. Approx 20km distance and 1700mtrs of ascent

Skinned to ski cache on Tupperware peak, then booted up roped before ski descent. Punctured leg with crampon so descended alone.

Strong winds and poor visibility so conducted skills training in wind scoop 1/2 way to first col - near white out conditions, crevasse rescue, snow anchor abseiling and lowers. Taking coils and short roping

Ski`ed to Peak 300 65deg 49.219 N, 036 deg 38.644 W, surface hard from wind so different ski conditions also drop to one side
Day 11 - 65deg 51.008 N
Departed base camp at 0630 towards KULUSUK managed 33km pulling sledges in 9 hours. Surface good with one section of thin ice
Day 12 - 65deg 51.008 N
Departed camp at 1100 for last 12km into KULUSUK.
