Description

Day out with group of 2 taking publicity shots for an upcoming event. Good snow cover on the upper part of the mountain, requiring the use of axe/crampons to ensure safe progress.
On descent, we encountered a group of three, one of whom was clearly in distress and collapsed just as passed them. We rendered first aid assistance, and helped them back down.

Area : Loch Lomond to Strathyre (Ben More)

Ben Lomond (974m) and Ben More (1174m) sit on opposite sides of this area which stretches from Loch Lomond to the western end of Loch Earn. There are two distinct sections, to the north and south of Glen Voil, with the remaining peaks sitting to the south of Loch Katrine. Access to the majority of the hills in this area is commonly from Crianlarich, Aberfoyle or Callander.
