Description

Walked from Malham, past Janet`s Foss and up to Gordale Scar with mum, dad and James. Had lunch at Gordale scar and mum and dad returned to car as they had to make tracks home. James and I climbed Girdle Scar and went over the hills (avoiding cows!!!) to the limestone pavement then dropped steeply past the coach party of elderly folk to Malham cove. Mooched in the village and drove south.

Area : South Yorkshire Dales

Most of the larger southern dales (e.g. Ribblesdale, Malhamdale and Airedale, Wharfedale and Nidderdale) run roughly parallel from north to south. Includes the Three Peaks, Malham and Langstrothdale/Wharfdale.
