Description

A walk to practice navigation from Barber Booth up onto Colbourne moor finding sheepfolds air shaft cairns and re entrants then onto Brown Knoll and then on up to Kinder low and then across to the edge of the plateau and down Crowden clough and back to barber booth a very wild weather day.

Area : Dark Peak

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
