Description

I guided Rodger Hamner who I met through UKC and Steve Carey who is a colleague of mine up from Ogwen cottage to the bottom of Idwal slabs. Then up Idwal buttress scramble grade 2 and then once in Cwn Cniefon we countoured eastwards to the Cniefon Arête which we then scrambled up.
I led every thing and had a great day using a variety of techniques to safe guard the pair. An awesome pair of scrambles with great weather made this a brilliant day for all.

Area : Glyderau

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
