Description

A day working for great adventures uk ltd.
A group of 19 people raising money for charity.
clear day, little bit of cloud blowing around, but great views overall.
parked at the national trust car park at wasdale head campsite, and headed up towards lingmell col. The group moved pretty slowly overall, but ended up with a pretty average 7 hours up and down.
small patches of slushy snow near the summit, which many of the group had great fun bum sliding down.
2 members of the group were struggling and took almost an hour longer to get down with the aid of poles hand holding and rucksack offloading. But a successful day with all 19 clients reaching the top and back safely.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
