Circuit around Alport Valley from Hayridge farm via Alport Castles, Westend Moor, Grains in the Water, Over Wood Moss, Hope Forest and Oyster Clough. Route deliberately chosen on feature-poor terrain to practice navigation above the cloudline. With Candy.

Area : Dark Peak

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
