Sarah was a trainee leader for a Black Dog Outdoors event on 19th Aug for which I was designated lead. For experience I'd asked Sarah to lead the group of 12 individuals, most of whom suffer MH challenges such as anxiety and depression, on a 13km route in/around the Mendip Hills. She excelled in the role and in my opinion worked at a level of the HML award she is working towards. Her navigation was precise and her group management was excellent. She is ready for her HML assessment now without a doubt.

Sarah is very competent at navigation and displayed initiative on several walks she accompanied me on. Her passion for the outdoors and being with people is evident. She's confident and humble at the same time and shows compassion, encouragement and empathy to other members of the group. She had a brilliant sense of humour too, with an infectious laugh making her an absolute joy to have her along.
