James is a very skilled and able mountain leader. He has tirelessly helped train adults in scouting enabling them to gain skill that allows them to take young people into the mountains safely. James has a very positive attitude and is a pleasure to work with.

James is an active member of the Greater London South West / Surrey Scout Counties mountain training team. I have worked with him many times, watching him leading and training groups of both adults and young people, in my role as County Assessor and County Advisor for Mountain Activities in GLSW Scouts. He has an excellent manner with groups and a clear passion for the mountains. I am sure that he will make an excellent ML!

My ML reference is 67210. Name Ian Tombleson. James is a highly experienced hill walker with hundreds of QMDs. He has been part of my Scout hillwalking team for more than 10 years. The team assesses adults to take children out safely in the mountains. James has had a training role on this team which he fulfils with great energy and enthusiasm.
