International Mountain Leader
Jim Donaldson volunteers on the Mountaineering Scotland Student SMART weekend each year at Glenmore Lodge. He is an excellent character and team player and is an invaluable asset in the delivery of mountain based activities during the weekend.

I have worked with Jim on a number of Mountaineering Scotland Student Safety weekends at Glenmore Lodge, usually held in early November every year. Jim has always proved himself to be a sound instructor willing to vary his delivery to meet the changing demands of a Cairngorm weekend in early November. Conditions have varied from autumnal to full on winter and Jim has managed to cope with all of these and deliver an interesting instructional day for the students. His cheery countenance and personal experience give him a strong presence, which combined with his mountain experience enables him to deal very effectively with young people.
