I was born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. After school and college I joined the Army and served extensively around the world for 22yrs. I completed the last 8 years in the military doing adventure training, finishing at Joint Service Mountain Training Centre Ballachulish Scotland. I used these skills to train and develop many soldiers in both outdoor activities and leadership. I have always had a strong passion for adventure, allowing me to travel worldwide and pursuing these activities whenever possible. I enjoyed a very exciting military career combined with many fun excursions in Mountaineering, Caving, Skiing and Canoeing. I now work at Joint Service Mountain Training Llanrwst full time.
EXPERIENCES
After managing Military leaders and Instructors from all walks of life and different backgrounds for over eight years, the next step was to establish UltimateDescent in 2012. The vision was clear, to deliver his passion for adventurous activities and use the medium of the mountains and been underground to enthuse and develop all ages. I am a keen outdoor enthusiast with a genuine lust for the full spectrum of outdoor activities. North Wales offers some of the best and exciting venues in the country for these activities. I enjoy caving and climbing in all its forms yet is a keen canoe instructor and have run kayaking trips to the French Alps.
I travel back to Scotland each year for winter mountaineering where mountains take on a whole new persona. My office is the amazing outdoors and my beautiful daughter Beau aged 11 is just as enthusiastic. We love anything from exploring underground, a mountain day or sat having a picnic as she paints my nails! family life is just awesome.
But when with friends any activity when we can living the dream.-WHY LEAVE IT TO YOUR IMAGINATION.
