Basically I am a mountaineer come photographer. Whilst an IML, I am also a double Associate of the Royal Photographic Society. My first A, was awarded for Applied and Professional Photography with a panel of prints based on the Italian Dolomites. My 2nd A, was for Travel Photography with a panel of prints based on the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan. I am also author of three guidebooks on Austria covering the Stubai and Zillertal Alps and the Hohe Tauern National Park. I am also a member of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild.
I am a past President of the Austrian Alpine Club(UK) that has over 16'000members spread across the English speaking world, prior to that I was the Club's Alpine Representative with responsibility for training during which time I am pleased to have helped around 20AAC(UK) members with their IML's awards,10 gaining MIC and two becoming IFMGA Mountain guides.

I am a past President of the Austrian Alpine Club (UK) previous to that I was the Alpine Representative with responsibility for training within the UK and for liaising with the Alpenverein Aademie in Innsbruck for training needs in Austria. Currently I am working with our young members trying to promote rock climbing and general alpinism
I am author of 3 guide books for Austria covering the Stubai Alps, Zillertal Alps and the Hohe Tauern National Park.
In July 2022 I will be leading a Bergfest meet for 34 members in family groups at the Franz sent Hut in the Stubai Alps
