I have known Ali for over five years. During that time I have been impressed by his motivation for mountain activities including both indoor and outdoor rock climbing. Over the years I have observed Ali run a number of groups. He interacts well with his clients and builds a good rapport with his students. In his role as a wall supervisor he is friendly with customers and approachable. As a candidate on CWA training and assessment courses, Ali took an enthusiastic and professional approach.

Alistair has been an employee for alien rock for several years. He is keen, enthusiastic and technically sound. A capable instructor able to relate to most climbers and able to get information across regardless of age. He is willing to learn new skills and better his understanding of what he is teaching. He has experience on working with disabled groups and works very well with them. Alistair also has an appreciation of equipment and gear for climbing and their many uses. No hesitation in recommending him for instructing.
