Ralph is an Explorer Scout Leader and voluntary activities instructor and assessor for the Scout Association. He assesses leaders for winter hillwalking, canoeing and kayaking. When not assessing he also runs traditional rafting, climbing and abseiling activities. Ralph holds his UKCC Level 2 Paddlesports Coach, Winter Mountain Leader and Climbing Wall Instructor (inc. Abseil Module). His personal qualifications include RYA Powerboat Level 2, BSAC Sports Diver and 3 Star in white water kayak, open canoe and sea kayak. He also enjoys bouldering, via ferrata, caving, mine exploration and mountain biking. Ralph is a member of the Mountain Training Association, Paddle UK, British Caving Association and a Full Member of the Institute of Leadership (MIoL).
