After gaining my DofE gold and being inspired by a number of exceptional instructors in the Air Training Corps, I began volunteering as a Duke of Edinburgh's Award leader in numerous schools around Stoke on Trent, I gained my ML, SPA, and many other key qualifications. I was an Award officer in Stoke on Trent for 3 years, alongside working in outdoor education. Furthermore I have been a volunteer in the Cadets since 2010, using my qualifications to provide high quality training to cadets around Staffordshire. Personally I have climbed and walked in many places around the world; the Himalayas, Iceland, High Atlas, Europe to name a few. I hold QTS alongside my outdoor qualifications, along with a PGCE in Geography. Most recently I became a Fellow of the Royal Geographical society. I currently work for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service.
