I am an outdoor professional and holder of the ML(S), ML(W), SPA and IML awards as well as being a trainee MIA, having completed the 9 day training course. I am currently living in the beautiful Clwydian hills, North Wales, with my wife Julietta, who is also an outdoor professional. In addition, I am an accredited provider of the NNAS navigation award scheme and NICAS Indoor Climbing Award scheme and a DofE approved Assessor to Gold level.
I'm a firm believer in keeping up to date with developments in our profession and as such am a member of various professional bodies including BAIML (British Association of International Mountain Leaders) Mountain Training Association, AMI, BMC and Mountaineering Council of Scotland and commit to their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.
