Hi!
I've always loved the outdoors whether that be the mountains, the snow or the water so I took a decision a few years ago to work towards being able to change my life to where i can spend more time in those environments. That big moment arrived in 2015! Since then I have qualified as a mountain leader and a snowboard instructor as well as volunteering for Fix the Fells in the Lake District. I now work as a Ranger in the beautiful Lake District and have to pinch myself to have got this job. I'm based at High Wray volunteer centre which is quite a unique place. I get to go out and share my passion for the outdoors with volunteers from all walks of life most days of the week doing all sorts of work such as dry stone walling, mountain path work and hedge laying amongst other things. There is never a dull moment. I still get to play in the snow too and keep up my training. Next steps are to tackle some more water based activities. Hope to meet many of you out there!
