Adrian Hendroff is a writer, photographer and a qualified Mountain Leader. He has ascended all 269 of Ireland's Vandeleur-Lynam summits over 600m. He is also a member of the Outdoor Writers & Photographers Guild (OWPG) and the Mountain Training Association (MTA).
Adrian is the author of the highly acclaimed From High Places: A Journey Through Ireland's Great Mountains (The History Press Ireland), The Dingle, Iveragh & Beara Peninsulas: A Walking Guide and Donegal, Sligo & Leitrim: Mountain and Coastal Hillwalks (both by The Collins Press). From High Places won the OWPG Award for Excellence in the Outdoor Book category for 2011 and Donegal, Sligo & Leitrim was highly commended in the OWPG Awards 2012.
He has also contributed to local and international magazines such as TGO, Walking World Ireland, Trek and Mountain, Walking Wales Magazine, Irish Mountain Log, Cover West Magazine and Gafencu Men; The Irish Times Go travel supplement and Discover Ireland's Online Blog.
Adrian's mountain photography of Ireland's high places is unique: something very few photographers in Ireland can claim to do on a national level. His are stunning images of Ireland's mountains from its highest summits and remotest valleys; in all seasons, at dawn and at dusk.
Adrian has climbed in Scotland, Wales, England, Romania and Iceland, along with the Alps and the Dolomites, but he considers the Irish mountains his spiritual home.
