Having climbed since I was fifteen a good friend of mine said "why don't you put some of that knowledge and skills to good use". Being involved in Scouting I thought well why not. So since doing my SPA I have done lots of work for the Scouting Association in my area as well as running courses in the local climbing centres. I have also worked in the Peak District and Wales teaching as a freelance instructor. I've recently done my CWLA and plan to do my Mountain Leader Summer later in the year. Living in Scotland for 7 years, climbing summer and winter, around the UK and abroad. I cannot think of a better thing to do than spending my time with others in the mountains. Some of my best memories and times where spent in these places and if I can share this with others well "Fantastic" Now this same friend who is an instructor, member of the AMI and has his own mountaineering business said " Why not go all the way" and do you know what that's now my plan, MIA and MIC here I come.
