My outdoor background...
I was born in Dorset and spent a lot of time on the Jurassic Coast as a child. My interest in gaining outdoor qualifications came from volunteering at a DofE group. Prior to this I was a builder amongst other trades.
2010-2012 Volunteer leader at a DofE Group (Corfe Castle) Volunteered as the main leader for a Bronze level group. Trained as Coastal Leader.
2010-2016 Ran my own long distance walking group here in Dorset and along the Jurassic Coast. I planned all routes, risk assessments etc and led the group on walks once a month while working towards my ML . I started the group to keep my leadership skills current.
I had 20 members(adults) in the group at its peak and the walks ranged from 15-20 miles.
Jan 2016-present Started Jurassic Coast Guides running guided walks, tours and fossil hunts along the Jurassic Coast.
Completed my Summer ML assessment at the end of April 2017.

I'm an Ambassador for the Jurassic Coast and work alongside the Jurassic Coast Trust to promote the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
In 2017 I was chosen as a 'GetOutside Champion' by Ordanance Survey.
In 2018 I won 'Guided Tour Of The Year' At the Dorset Tourism Awards.
In 2019 I made it as a finalist in the Visit England 'Tourism Superstar Awards'
In 2019 I won 'Learning Experience Of The Year' at The Dorset Tourism Awards.
In 2019 I won 'International Visitors Experience Of The Year' at the Dorset Tourism Awards.
