Born in South Africa in 1971, I spent most of my childhood doing out door activities, biking, hiking and shooting mostly. I spent most of my school holidays with my uncle who is a game ranger, and as such did hiking in the Natal game reserves. I learned and enjoyed hiking, tracking, hence patrol and Lion calling. Ive enjoyed climbing Table Mountain and many coastal walks and hikes around the Western Cape. Since moving to England in 2003 I have not spent as much time out doors as I would like, but have enjoyed "small" walks around Oxfordshire and a few coastal walks with the family. Since getting involved with the ATC I have got involved with he Done program and the AT and shooting sides of the organisation and am looking to qualify to help young people enjoy the outdoors as much as I have.
