I have been climbing and mountaineering for over forty years and involved as an instructor, off and on, for thirty five of those  years. I recently retired from ‘working’ to return to this great pleasure of mine - taking folks into our mountains. Previously, I have worked in a range of outdoor settings in Scotland and Northern England from management training centres, skills training, private guiding, outdoor centres and teaching geography both in and outwith the classroom. Over the years, I have climbed throughout Britain and Western Europe with occasional forays to North America, Africa and a family trekking trip to Nepal when our three children were around 12yrs old. We had twins then a third 22 months later! That was a hard expedition!! 

I am accredited by Mountain Training Scotland to provide Mountain Skills courses and a range of Rock Climbing courses following their syllabuses. Also offer bespoke courses/experiences to suit your needs, experience and aspirations to give you the skills to get out and do it yourself. Happy to travel around Scotland and Northern England to suit where and what suits you best.
