Outdoor Education Youth Worker, Geography Teacher, Head of Outdoor Education and now a Local Education Authority Outdoor Education Adviser. My awards have been gained during my career journey to support and enhance the work that I've been doing.
I've derived so much pleasure and enjoyment from being outdoors myself and am forever thankful to those who introduced me back when I was a snotty nosed, long haired schoolboy: Day hikes; canoeing at Symonds Yat; walking trips to the Brecon Beacons; Ten Tors on Dartmoor and a week on Skye when I should have been revising for A Levels. All these experiences and those who led them are the reason I became a teacher and ultimately started collecting outdoor qualifications.
My qualifications have allowed me to introduce and pass on my skills and knowledge to others. There are few things better than sharing and passing on your passion for something to others. What goes around comes around!
