I have been a fully qualified Mountain Guide since 2004. Being a holder of the highest award means that I am a committed and enthusiastic climber, mountaineer and skier. I have climbed up to Trad E6/7 in the UK and Sport 7c+. In the Scottish winter I was on the First ground up ascent by Andy Turner of the Hurting XI,11 and have managed the odd grade 8 on lead.. Climbing wise I have been lucky to climb and guide all over Europe and America, with favourites being the deserts of Utah and Yosemite. I have lead trips to the Himalayas with great off piste ski adventures in the Kashmir. Professionally I have worked for both the National Mountain centres and now reside in the Peak District ( close to gods own rock!.....Gritstone ) where I am based as a freelance Guide and course director of climbing and mountaineering courses. I work in the Alps, Norway and further afield delivering bespoke Guided climbing adventures.
