Most of my earlier employment came from Outdoor Development Training. I have been using the mountain environment as a tool for Leadership, Management and Team Development, since attaining my MLC in 1983.
Since completing my International Mountain Leader qualification in 2007, I have led two, month long expeditions to South America. One was in Bolivia, including trekking at 4,500metres in the High Andes, and the other Ecuador, and the Cotopaxi National Park.
In 2008, I started to guide holidays at home and abroad for Walking Women, an organisation which specialises in running holidays solely for women. I guided on Cross Country Ski ing and Snow shoeing in Kvilda in The Czech Republic; Alpine Ski ing in La Tania in The French Alps; Bled and Bohinj in Slovenia, and a hut to hut expedition in The Gran Paradiso of Italy, Jebel Mgoun in The High Atlas of Morocco, and High level walking in The Costa Blanca. My interest in Arabic Culture and desert climates, has led me to many expeditions, both rock climbing and Trekking in The High and Anti Atlas, including ascents of Jebel Toubcal and Jebel Mgoun, and an all-women expedition into the Sinai desert.
I work regularly in Snowdonia, as a walking guide and climbing instructor, and enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge of my home turf with others.
