Hi Folks, I have been a qualified Summer Mountain Leader since 2000. Plus an approved Mountain Skills ! & 2 Trainer since 2001 by BOS The Irish Mountain Training Board. Bord Oilliunt na Sleibhe in Gaelic. This allows me to train people in Ireland & the British Isles in Summer conditions.
I am based in North West Adventure Ballinafad Co Sligo Ireland. I work mainly in the Sligo Leitrim area. But I am happy to work anywhere in Ireland England Scotland & Wales in summer conditions.
On my holidays I get away each year to somewhere abroad. Like Summer 2017 we went to Sinarta camping, Benasque in the Pyrenees Mountains and we climbed the 2 highest peaks there Aneto 3400mt and Posets 3300mt. We climbed every day to different peaks. Tough mountains the Pyrenees but so worth it. So much so we are booked onto the car ferry to go back again Summer 2018. This time to camp near Monte Perdito. Come home feeling great.

Hi Folks for me mountaineering is bringing another extension to my life that only the those that participate can confirm. Any excuse to get out on the hills is good with me. So if I am out researching a new walk or I am out training people in Mountain Skills navigation to look after themselves it's all good with me. I just love it.
