I've been hillwalking, climbing and camping In the UK since the 1970s, mostly in Scotland but also in The Lakes and Alps. I qualified as Summer ML in October 2011 and since then I've been volunteering with schools and Scouts to support DoE expeditions.
I work full-time in leadership development and on occasions take client senior teams into the open spaces of Scotland to give them time and space to explore ideas and issues.
The aim is always to create a fun activity in Scotland’s mountains and wilderness places that includes a chance to explore the outdoors and engage in dialogue with colleagues.
The outdoor and wilderness places offer much needed space and time out from relentlessly busy lives. Nature provides an opportunity to regain perspective, deepen our sense of connectedness and to re-establish a more balanced sense of resourcefulness and resilience.
