Ralph is a voluntary activities instructor and assessor for the Scout Association He assesses leaders for hillwalking, canoeing and kayaking in Berkshire and for ScoutsCymru at Scout Adventures Yr Hafod in Snowdonia (yr-hafod.org.uk). When not assessing he also runs traditional rafting, climbing and abseiling activities.
Ralph holds his UKCC Level 2 Paddlesports Coach, Winter Mountain Leader, Climbing Wall Award (inc. Abseil Module) and MiDAS. His personal qualifications include RYA Powerboat Level 2, BSAC Sports Diver and 3 Star in white water kayak, open canoe and sea kayak.
Ralph is a member of the Mountain Training Association, British Canoe Union, British Mountaineering Council and British Caving Association. Professionally Ralph is a Full Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (MInstLM) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (AMIChemE).
