Having started my career in Yorkshire and now living in the heart of Snowdonia, my work has taken me all over the world.
Starting out as an assistant Instructor in the Cairngorms, Scotland. I am now a Freelance Instructor based in Wales, working on a global scale.
I have led expeditions and managed teams of staff in countries such as Zambia, Oman, China, Italy and many more presides, and of course, the UK. Everyday I work with the awards gained through MT and various other training bodies, the skills learnt on these courses help me to enrich peoples lives with new experiences, skills and knowledge. It is through these experiences that people learn to grow and develop. It's a fantastic process to be a part of and one that I hope to continue for a long time yet.
I will, one day, own my own company, ideally guiding. Guiding being my ambition and dream, one that I am working towards. But I do this at no great pace (great things take time after all), I'm just enjoying the journey. It is the journey and not the goal, after all, that is our greatest source of learning and growth.
Chris is a talented climber. As an instructor, I've known Chris at ROKT climbing gym and also with regard to their own outdoor climbing sessions. A competent an capable instructor and climber well suited to the Mountain Instructor Award Scheme syllabus.
