EVENT DETAILS
We will set off from the Jack and Jill Inn at 6pm just off the A23 on hte A273 to Hassocks. Parking nearby at Clayton recreation ground BN6 9PJ. If you wish to use the pub facitlities before ( or after ) I am sure they would not mind you parking there either.
This event is free to all MTA members and may be useful for those preparing for HML or ML assessment or those who simply wish to have a go and learn about Night Navigation techniques or brush up their skills. Peer contributions and learning all welcome and having chatted beforehand hopefully we can tailor the evening to meet everyones needs.
You'll need to be equipped for 2-3 hours out walking, which may be cold and muddy in places. Whilst in the South East, it is a hill and offers plenty of scope for HML and ML practice. A headtorch and compass are essential. We'll use OS Explorer 122 but if you don't have this map let me know and I will bring spares.
You may wish to bring a hot drink and snacks. Hot chocolate at the trig point is always good!
This event will be led by myself Jo Ireland MTA South East Co-ordinator and ML. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me at joeyireland@hotmail.co.uk .
