Award Description

This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.

Based at Capel Tanrallt, we have great access to the quieter parts of Eryri/ Snowdonia as well as not being too far away from the more regular destinations.

I run all courses myself with the help of a few other highly experienced instructors. Whether you have signed up for assessment or training we always aim to create a relaxed environment that allows you to perform at your best.

Accommodation is usually available at Capel Tanrallt for £22.50/night. There are great facilities and the residential option is always popular.
