This workshop will be hosted by Mountain Training Scotland for their providers of both the Skills Courses and the Qualification Courses. 

Hazard awareness and managment is a key skill of any leader or recreationalist hill walker; however it requires time and practice to develop. This ceates challenges on time restricted courses like the Mountain Training Scotland skills and qualification courses. This 1 day workshop will look at what and how we teach hazard awareness and management on the Mountain Training Scotland Skills and Qualification course, as well as how we assess this topic and the standards expected at various levels.

The day will be part fronted up by Mountain Training Scotland Staff and part by participants, information of any preparation needed prior to the workshop will be sent out to participants. 

The day will be split between indoors and outdoors, please bring appropriate hill kit for the weather and a packed lunch.
