This workshop is for successful Mentor applicants for the 2025 Mentor Skills Training.
You can only book on this workshop once you have completed the Mentor E-Learning module (log into the Candidate Management System, go to Training tab and click on Online Learning to find it). This workshop is an essential part of becoming a mentor.

This workshop will be presented by Dr Samantha McElligott who is an expert on leadership skills. She wrote the leadership competencies which we have amended to all our qualification syllabuses, has delivered transformational leadership training to our members and developed and delivered Mountain Training Association’s Mentor Skills training from its inception in 2018 to present day. She delivered workshops on Understanding Leadership at the Women in Mountain Training conference and also delivered 4 webinars on leadership during 2023. Samantha has supported the Outward Bound Women in Outdoor Leadership courses two years running with leadership content and training.
