Understanding Common Land – their management and role in protected landscapes
Join Jan and Amanda on a walk across one of the most important limestone landscapes in England and discuss all things common land.
In this walk and talk session, we’ll discuss what is common land, how they work and are managed, their multiple benefits and what threats they are facing. We’ll also discuss the site’s archaeological importance and status as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation among other designations and what these mean.
