WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
In this free peer-to-peer workshop, we will explore the Glencree Valley with local Mountain Leader Martha Burton. Martha will guide us through her local hills and share knowledge and history along the way. We will take in Raven's rock and Prince William's Seat, and may also include Knocknagun. Join us for this special event which also has a surprise at the end! Relevant for anyone who works in the Wicklow and Dublin mountains or simply wants to learn more about them.
Car pooling from Bog Meadow car park, at 10am. Anyone who is early can meet for coffee first in Ohso Enniskerry Village at 9.30. (44 from Dublin via Dundrum, Stepaside, Kilternan and 185 from Bray dart are the buses that go to Enniskerry.)
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED: All the usual kit you bring with you on the Irish hills.
CATERING/FOOD: Bring a sandwich/lunch, a mug, an extra 500ml water and a spoon.
WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS: Martha Burton is a Mountain Leader and a lecturer in engineering in TU Dublin. She is also a probationary member of the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team.
