A look at these 2 popular venues often used by mountain and climbing qualified instructors but which have no universally recognised formal training or qualification. Looking at transferable skills from other NGB’s and the importance of local knowledge in achieving competence and also looking at what goes wrong by studying case studies from Gorge incidents from the past 25 years.

This workshop is delivered by Pete Carter, WMCI (CIC, BCU 4K and Cn). Pete acts as a technical expert to a number of providers and has an extensive knowledge of this activity in locations across the UK over a period of more than 35 years.
