WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES

Although the day is primarily aimed at registered, trainee or qualified Lowland Leaders, it may also be of interest to both HML and ML as this event offers you an opportunity for a day out in the beautiful Chilterns countryside to brush up on your navigation and First Aid skills plus a walk to put your skills to use and learn about the local flora and geology. It's going to be a relaxed learning fun day with an opportunity to meet other members for networking and asking any questions you have.

The venue for the day is interesting- do you know about 'The Wendover Hills Question'? Ellesborough sits below Coombe Hill where in 1906 some two decades before the KinderTrespass, a 'great public demonstration' took place following the restricting of public access to the hill. Protests and progress - National Trails 

Learning outcomes - at the end of the day you will feel more confident to attend your Lowland Leader Training, feel more prepared for getting ready for assessment, or feel more confident using your award to enjoy the lowland countryside and lead walks. As well as be familiar with this walk and know more about the area. 

> Start 10.00am at the Ellesborough Parish Hall which has car parking available. Hall is across the road from The Russell Arms.

EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED

OS Explorer map Chiltern Hills East 172 if you have one, compass and pencil.

Outdoor kit appropriate for the weather and conditions on the day. Sunscreen , hat, sunglasses if hot.

A packed lunch box, snacks, water or energy drink. 

CATERING/FOOD

Whilst tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided pls. bring your own  packed lunch, snacks and drinks for the day.
