This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. Common activities undertaken by Rock Climbing Instructor will be roped climbing and bouldering. This scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.

This is a 2-day, outdoor only training course. Candidates must already hold the Climbing Wall Instructor award.

The course will utilise crags on Dartmoor and South Devon.

West Country Adventures aims to help optimise your rock climbing performance. We work to ensure a bespoke approach is taken wherever possible, whilst meeting the course outcomes and syllabus topics.

As nationally qualified coaches, the core team at West Country Adventure has over 25 years experience in coaching and instructing, we have extensive knowledge and experience in developing athletes from novice to elite.
