Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
This is a 6 day Mountain Leader Training course run over a full week Monday to Saturday 25 and 30 June 2018. The course is non residential and close to Backpackers Hotel and the Pitlochry Youth Hostel as well as other accommodation options. Pitlochry is a brilliant venue with great training ground close by keeping our travel time to a minimum and maximises our time on the hill. It is based in the Pitlochry Town Hall with its own free parking.
