The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a regulated qualification award by Active IQ. Wet and High Adventures Ltd is an Approved Centre accredited to deliver these qualifications.
There are 3 modules to complete:
1 Understanding the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
2: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
6: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
The course format would be
To make it eligible for AMI CPD you would need to have either Navigation or Climbing as your specialist subject. (Though the certificate will not state this on it as it is a generic one)
The special AMI rate is £225 (normally £295) which includes registration, access to e-learning, the 2 day course and certification.
This course can be the end point or lead onto a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing vocational Achievement or a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.
Course Tutor/Assessor:
Gwilym Starks has worked in the Education Sector since 2005 in both a Private School as Head of Outdoor Education and in a FE College as a Lecturer on Public Services and Outdoor Education. He is a course director for the majority of Mountain Training, National Navigation Award and Royal Lifesaving Society Qualifications. He has extensive experience of training and assessing in both a classroom and outdoor environment.
